Our Activities

World Cancer Day was commemorated on 4^th February 2020. Our trust visited an old-age home which had cancer patient and offered a one-day meal.

International Women’s day was celebrated on 8^th March 2020. Female members of the trust were felicitated gifted with sarees.

Drug awareness programme for the youth was conducted on 21^st August 2018 in Muttukadu, a nearby village in Chengalpattu district. Dr. Samuel Johnson, Medical Psychiatrist gave an insight about the adverse effect of consuming different kinds of drugs including liquor. Around 30 adolescent members of the village participated in this programme and took an oath against the usage of illicit drugs.

On the birthday of Sarvapalli Dr. Radhakrishnan, 5^th September 2018 the trust organised a One-day Illiteracy Awareness Programme in Puthu Kalpakkam village near Mahabalipuram, Chengalpet district. Since this is a fishermen village, there was large number of school dropouts who were not aware of possibilities of continuing their studies. The trust along with the volunteers went and had an interpersonal counselling with the individuals creating awareness about the future career and development. Many children showed interest in continuing their school education. The programme ended-up with sports and games.

The trust organised a Personality Development Programme on 18^th June 2018 for the teachers in the Kanathur Government Elementary School. Various nuances of enhancing the personality were discoursed to 12 teachers. Certificates were given to the participants.

On 2^nd July 2018, the trust organised a Free Eye Check-up and screening camp in the Karikattukuppam, near Kovalam village. Around 200 people had a detailed eye check-up and benefited with free spectacles. Dr. Ram Prasad and their team conducted the camp.

The trust provided Rice and oil for the Irular community in Kottaikadu village on the World Food Day on 16^th October 2018. Around 25 members benefited from this offer.

Every year, Patron’s Day Celebration was organised on 24^th June 2018 by the trust in order to commemorate the social contribution of Late Mr. Jacob and Mrs. Christy Jacob.

International Day of People with disabilities. This day is being remembered every year. On 3^rd December 2018, the trust organized a medical screening camp in a small village near Theni. Around 6 people benefited with tricycle.

The trust commemorated the First Death Anniversary of our Founder Dr. M. Paul Ponnuchamy on 20^th February 2019. Dinner was provided to all the well-wishers and orphans. Many Pastors, Social workers, Teachers, Students and the village elders witnessed the event and shared testimony about him.
