Our Activities

International Day of People with disabilities. This day is being remembered every year. On 3^rd December 2017, the trust organized a medical screening camp in a small village near Kambum. Around 6 people benefited with walkers.

The trust provided One-day meal for the Kuravar (Gipsy) community in Kallu Kuttai area, near Kelambakkam village on the World Food Day on 16^th October 2017. Around 10 families benefited from this event.

On the birthday of Sarvapalli Dr. Radhakrishnan, 5^th September 2017 the trust organised a One-day Illiteracy Awareness Programme in Vada Nemeli village near Kovalam, Chengalpet district. This is a dalit village which hada large number of school dropouts who were not aware of possibilities of continuing their studies. The trust volunteers went and had an in-depth counselling with the children explain the importance of education.

On 2^nd July 2017, the trust organised a Free Diabetes Check-up and screening camp in the Kalavakkam, near Thiruporur village. Around 100 people had a detailed blood sugar test. Dr. Uvarani, Assistant Surgeon conducted the camp.

On 26^th June 2017, International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was commemorated by organizing a Drug awareness programme for the youth in Manambathi, a nearby village in Chengalpattu district. Mrs. Darcus Deva Sinthiya, our Trustee member and a Medical Practioiner gave an insight about the adverse effect of consuming different kinds of drugs including liquor. She also gave awareness on girl child trafficking.

Every year, Patron’s Day Celebration was organised on 24^th June 2017 by the trust in order to commemorate the social contribution of Late Mr. Jacob, Retd. Headmaster and Mrs. Christy Jacob, Retd. Headmistress.

The trust organised a Sapling Plantation Programme on 6^th June 2017, which was the World Environment Day. Saplings were planted on the either sides of the East Coast Road, Kanthur and have requested the village punchayat to water the plants.
